Basketball
There are many ways for youths to enjoy the sport
of basketball at Columbia Gym or Supreme Sports Club.
Columbia Gym offers the following
basketball options.
- Drop-In
Play: Facility includes
full-size basketball floor with six goals for general
shoot around, crosscourt and full court play permitted
during competitive play time. Basketballs are provided.
- Open
Gym: General shoot-around time or drop-in
games (cross court only). Must be age 14 and over.
- Competitive
Play: Competitive drop-in games only.
Full court games permitted.
- Basketball
in the Youth Arena Family Gym: Family
basketball play in the youth arena is for children
up to 13 years of age with a parent. General shoot
around only. Children may not play in youth arena
without a parent present. The youth arena is not
available for team practices or meetings. When Howard
County schools are out, the youth arena is not available
for family basketball.
- Youth
Basketball League: For ages
8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Officiated full-court games,
players' jerseys, standings and schedules, official
referees, scorekeepers, timekeepers and awards.
Supreme Sports Club offers the following basketball
options.
- Drop-In
Play: Click on the "Schedules"
page on the left menu to see the area schedule.
- Adult
Basketball League: Officiated
full-court games, standings and
schedules, official referees, scorekeepers, timekeepers
and awards.
Columbia Association also maintains
14 outdoor basketball courts at the following locations.
