Howard County residents are invited to join the thousands of other communities across America in supporting this crime prevention effort.

Residents will be asked to turn on all outside lights and spend time at neighborhood events and block parties

Tennis is one of the most popular sports in Columbia, and CA offers options to suit every interest and competitive level.

There are nine indoor courts at Columbia Athletic Club and Owen Brown Tennis Bubble. Additionally, there are 24 outdoor courts at Wilde Lake Tennis Club, Owen Brown Club and Racquet Club at Hobbit's Glen.

Outdoor tennis courts are also at the following locations.

• Oakland Mills Village Center, behind 5876 Thunder Hill Road
  
• Locust Park Neighborhood Center, 8995 Lambskin Lane
• Owen Brown Ridge, off Gracious End Court

Package Plan Plus, Package Plan and tennis members can enjoy three outdoor tennis facilities — two with lighted courts, one with HarTru courts (court fees extra) and one with bubbled courts (court fees extra), pro shops and special events. Package Plan Plus and Package Plan members also have indoor playing privileges at Columbia Athletic Club indoor courts (court fees extra). A membership to only the Owen Brown Tennis Bubble is also available.

Also available to members for an extra fee are KidSpace at Columbia Athletic Club, block time, USTA team tennis, league and tournament play, lessons and clinics taught by USPTA certified professionals for beginner to advanced players, team coaching, World Class Junior Tennis Program and other youth classes and programs, summer camps and special events.
