Communications & Marketing
Part-time
The Columbia Association seeks a part-time Corporate Sales Representative to sell Columbia Association amenities to corporations in and around the Columbia market. The CRS will make contacts in the corporate community to increase awareness of and sales in CA’s meeting spaces, golf and sports outings and company picnics, as well as establishing relationships that can lead to memberships in CA facilities. The position requires a 20-25 hours per week commitment, but depending on the business need, evenings and weekends hours may be necessary. The CRS must have sales presentation experience; knowledge of the entire sales process; experience with Microsoft XP and any sales tracking tools; and reliable transportation to attend weekly sales appointments. IT Department
Fulltime
An experienced System Administrator is sought for Columbia Association IT department. The successful applicant will be responsible for expanding and maintaining a windows 2000/2003 Active directory. This position will require advanced knowledge of both hardware and software configurations. Applicant will be required to work with other administrators, and end-users to resolve problems and build systems. Responsible for daily and weekend backups. The applicant will be required to work well with others in the organization on a daily basis, both within the team and in other departments. Applicant will be on weekend call as needed. Applicant must have 5 to 7 years relevant experience in IT as Systems Administrator and BS in Systems Engineering or Computer Sciences. The salary is $19.75 - $31.84 per hour. Columbia Teen Center
Part-Time
Under direct supervision of the Teen Center Manager, the Recreation Assistant will assist in developing, planning, coordinating, and conducting educational, social and recreational programs for youth and teens in grades 4-12. Other responsibilities include developing and applying safety rules; providing resources to participants and parents; registration of participants; administering program surveys and evaluations; assisting with the monthly calendar or newsletter; maintain inventory of recreation equipment; coordinating and distributing publicity for the programs. A combination of experience and education equal to a college degree in recreation, behavioral sciences or education is required; two years experience must be in planning or programming activities for youths in grades 4 through 12. This position is grant-funded for July 1 to June 30, and must be re-funded each year. Open Space Management

Assists with the maintenance of Open Space areas throughout Columbia. Position consists of outdoor manual labor including lifting, bending, walking, trash removal, operation of small power and hand equipment. Prior landscaping experience is a plus, but not required. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Columbia Gym
The Columbia Gym seeks member assistants who have an interest in both customer service and fitness. Member Assistants are responsible for caring for member needs, conducting fitness equipment orientations (will train if needed), and providing support for various positions throughout the facility including front desk, housekeeping, personal training and management. Persons interested in this position need to be very mature, open and friendly as well as willing to work hard. Requirements for this position include long periods of standing/moving and some minor lifting as well – 18 years minimum age requirement. One of the position’s primary responsibilities is the men’s locker room, and CA’s housekeeping and general membership practices permit only male personnel in men’s locker rooms. Columbia Gym
Part-Time
The Columbia Gym in Clarksville seeks service-oriented, friendly, self-starters to fill the position of Front Desk Opener. The goals for the Front Desk Opener include punctuality, friendliness, and attention to detail. The focus of the Columbia Gym is providing a welcoming environment for facility members to increase enjoyment and usage of the fitness facility. Responsibilities of the position include greeting members, answering phones, handling challenges which may arise, handing money, some computer usage, and other duties as needed. Early morning 5:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. M-F and 6:45-10:00 a.m. Sat. & Sun shifts are available / Some evening hours may also be available. Starting salary is $8.00/hour.
Requirements: Friendliness, punctuality, good communication skills, (will train). Flexibility and open to working with diverse population is essential.
