(Q) I want to involve my child in local athletic programs, what are some examples of youth sports in the area?
(A) The following are some youth sports leagues and the contact information for more questions:

Youth Baseball - HCYP: This is community group that has baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls in the Howard County area. Most of the action takes place at Kiwanis Park on Frederick Road off Route 40. Call (410) 461-1874 for more information on HCYP.

(Q) I am a senior or disabled resident of Columbia, what are some services or organizations that are available to me?
(A) There are many programs and services in Howard County and Columbia that are designed to help all residents. CA’s When if Not Now (WINN) program is designed to assist mature adults or persons with disabilities with exercise.

(A) CA offers numerous programs for adults and children, as well as several exciting events, such as the Lakefront Summer Festival from June through August, and the Columbia Festival of the Arts that runs for three weekends beginning June 13.
