Update Your CA Account to Make the Most of Swim Season
Now that spring is officially here, we can begin looking forward to the best part of the year…swim season!
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, things will look a little different this year at CA’s outdoor pools. To make for as seamless a transition as possible, it’s important for all CA members and Columbia Card holders to make sure their online accounts are set up for access.
Below, we’ll explain why it’s so important and how to check your account.
Prep Yourself for Summer Fun
So, what’s the big deal with your online account? This year, it’s the only way to register for a 90-minute time block at your pool…which is the only guaranteed way to land a spot.
“A lot of accounts made in the past did not have an active email address associated with it, which means you’re not able to set up online credentials,” explained CA Aquatics Director Marty Oltmanns. “It’s a great idea to check to make sure you have access to your account now so that you’re prepared ahead of time for when reservations go live this summer.”
Another way to prime yourself for summer success is to make sure you have a Columbia Card. This is a free card for residents who live on CA-assessed property. Historically, it’s offered discounted admission to pools and other CA facilities, but this year it holds another valuable perk.
“In this current era of COVID restrictions, the reservation system is the best way to guarantee a spot. The Columbia Card gives you access to 10-day advance registration, which isn’t available for non-members and non-residents,” said Oltmanns.
Plus, those beloved Columbia Card discounts still apply. Monday through Thursday, you can nab pool admission for just $3; Friday through Sunday (and holidays), for $4.
To check your online account, go to columbiassociation.org and click “Member log-in” in the top right corner. If you run into issues or unable to log in or reset your password, you can call the Aquatics office at 410-312-6332 for assistance. You can also contact CA Membership Services at 410-730-1801 or CMSC@ColumbiaAssociation.org.
To obtain a Columbia Card, you can also contact CA Membership Services. Or, reach out to a membership advocate at one of or three fitness clubs (Columbia Gym, Columbia Athletic Club or Supreme Sports Club).
