Partnerships are integral to CA’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Columbia. We’ve proudly partnered with more than 100 organizations to build a stronger community, and are always looking for new ways to engage. Together, #WeAreColumbia.
Here are a few ways we already work with our partners:
CA has a number of spaces where we invite partners to host their programs and serve our community to their fullest potential.
For more than a decade, CA has collaborated with Blossoms of Hope to plant trees in CA. The Columbia Art Center also holds an annual gallery to raise awareness for this community group through art.
CA joined the Clippers Parent Board to host a Special Olympics Swim Meet at Stevens Forest Pool.
The Columbia Art Center was pleased to host the works of young artists from Maryland’s Third Congressional District for the annual Congressional Art Competition.
CA is committed to collaboration, and what better way to show up for the community than an awesome event? And when we show up, we show up with a purpose!
CA was proud to sponsor HoCoPride 2022 and the after-party at Columbia SportsPark!
It’s always a blast to team up with Howard County Recreation and Parks and Columbia Festival of the Arts to light up the Lakefront on July 4th.
Each Halloween, CA collaborates with multiple community partners to host a fun-filled Trunk-Or-Treat event.
CA hosted a special gathering, Rising Leaders, with our partners at Howard County Library System and Howard Community College to connect some of the changemakers in our community.
The CA team loves to celebrate the joy of reading and books with the community at the annual Books in Bloom event!

CA fitness instructors brought the dancing fun to multiple back to school events in Columbia.
CA’s Community Operations team collected 233 lbs. of food to help support the Howard County Food Bank.

CA’s Sustainability team was thrilled to participate in Greenfest and share information about how community members can increase their home’s energy efficiency.
CA’s Community Engagement Manager was honored to moderate one of the author discussions at Books in Bloom.
The best way to learn and grow is together. We work with partners who seek opportunities to educate and inspire.
For the past five years, the Howard County Autism Society has come to CA’s pools to train our Aquatics team on autism awareness and water safety.
The Columbia Maryland Archives and students from Howard Community College joined forces to learn from each other.
