Summer Swim Team (CNSL)

Columbia Association Summer Swim Team Information

Columbia Neighborhood Swim League (CNSL) is a summer recreational swim league with 14 swim teams located throughout the Columbia, Ellicott City and Clarksville areas. CNSL is open to swimmers 18 years old or younger with all ability levels who meet the league requirements. CA provides coaches, facilities and a framework for CNSL participants to improve swimming abilities, develop good sportsmanship and test performance in actual competition as part of a team in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Clippers Swim Clinic

For children ages 6-18 who have either one or more years of summer league experience or have full knowledge of freestyle and backstroke. Participants will have the opportunity to learn or improve basic swimming skills and stroke mechanics from Clippers coaches. Participation is not a guarantee that a swimmer will be eligible to join a year-round competitive swim team.Fees: $240 member, $480 non memberSeptember 12 through December 12 with October 31 and November 28 off

 

Masters Swim Programs

Columbia Masters is an adult-oriented swim program combining instruction with competitive training. Columbia Masters is great for athletes, competitive swimmers and fitness swimmers with dedicated lanes and professional coaching at every practice.

All participants must be able to swim a mile in about 30 minutes and become USMS member (fee extra), which can be done online at http://www.usms.org/reg/register.php; our club code is COLU.

  • Level 1 Beginner Swimmer: one mile in 60+ minutes.
  • Level 2: Intermediate Swimmer: one mile in 30-60 minutes.
  • Level 3: Advanced Swimmer: one mile in 30 minutes or less.

Fees

Masters Program:

Must be a CA member

$13 per practice, up to a max of $50 per month

*All participants must become USMS members, requires an additional fee (practice is held at the Swim Center Program Pool).

Masters Swim Program Schedule:

At this time, we are only offering practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30-7am and 10:15-11:30am. Practices for all levels will be held in the Program Pool at Columbia Swim Center.
