Want to practice on your own? The driving ranges at both clubs are open to the public! Range ball tokens can be purchased at both Hobbit’s Glen and Fairway Hills for $4/per token. Bucket size determines the number of tokens needed. Range ball keys are also available for purchase in volume and are $75 for 24 tokens and $90 for 30 tokens.
Additionally, both clubs offer the new FlightScope® Launch Monitor to keep you on your game! The FlightScope Launch Monitor measures the speed, spin and distance of your shots – allowing you and your instructor to analyze and improve your swing. To learn more, please click here.

Joan is a member of both the PGA and LPGA – an elite club of only 200 across the country. Joan was also inducted to the Howard County Women’s Hall of Fame for her contributions to her sport. Joan’s passion for teaching golf comes through by tailoring her lesson plan to the student’s needs and goals.

Paul’s teaching approach focuses on pre-swing fundamentals, in-swing fundamentals and the laws of ball flight. Every swing is different and certain swings fit certain types of individuals. Using state-of-the-art technology such as Flightscope, K-Vest, Blast Motion and FocusBand, Paul is able to analyze each element of his students’ game: biomechanics, swing, putting and mental game.

Get Golf Ready
Get Golf Ready is designed to teach everything you’ll need to play golf in just a few lessons! PGA and LPGA Professionals will show you that there are lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting. No equipment needed!
Red Zone Challenge (100 yards and in)
One of the biggest keys to low scores on the golf course is your ability to get the ball in the hole quickly from inside 100 yards – the Red Zone. In this program, we will focus on improving your putting, chipping, pitching and bunker skills so that you score better on the course.
PGA Junior League at Hobbit’s Glen
The PGA Junior League Golf Team is for boys and girls ages 9-13. You’ll meet friends and compete in this fun and engaging team format! Participants receive coaching from a PGA Professional.
Format: Two week preseason with weekly practice and scrimmage, followed by weekly practice and matches against other local clubs. Also included is a range card, jersey, hat and bag tag.
Practices are held Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Match schedule and start is TBD and will be posted on this web page soon.
Junior Golf Clinics
The Junior Clinics have multiple levels and are geared toward kids ages 7-10. Within each level, there are five check points in which achievement pins may be earned: Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Knowledge and Scoring. Once all give are attained, a Master Pin is awarded and the player advances to the next level.
