Whether you are new to the game or just looking for ways to improve, Hobbit’s Glen and Fairway Hills golf clubs offer a variety of different lesson programs, as well as private and group lessons. Our PGA- and LPGA-certified professionals are here to provide you with excellent instruction, tailored to meet your specific needs and abilities.

Want to practice on your own? The driving ranges at both clubs are open to the public! Range ball tokens can be purchased at both Hobbit’s Glen and Fairway Hills for $4/per token. Bucket size determines the number of tokens needed. Range ball keys are also available for purchase in volume and are $75 for 24 tokens and $90 for 30 tokens.

Additionally, both clubs offer the new FlightScope® Launch Monitor to keep you on your game! The FlightScope Launch Monitor measures the speed, spin and distance of your shots – allowing you and your instructor to analyze and improve your swing. To learn more, please click here.

Let’s Tee it Up!

This is a great on-the-course golf learning experience that allows you and up to two of your golfing friends to play with your favorite pro as your fourth for two hours! During the round, your instructor will provide guidance on how to improve your scores in future rounds through insightful tips, course management and strategy.

Two People $100 per person
Three People $75 per person

Price includes instruction, 9-hole green fees, carts and warm-up bucket for each person.

Get Golf Ready

Get Golf Ready is designed to teach everything you’ll need to play golf in just a few lessons! PGA and LPGA Professionals will show you that there are lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting.  No equipment needed!

Red Zone Challenge (100 yards and in)

One of the biggest keys to low scores on the golf course is your ability to get the ball in the hole quickly from inside 100 yards – the Red Zone. In this program, we will focus on improving your putting, chipping, pitching and bunker skills so that you score better on the course.

Junior Private Lessons

45 minutes: $60

Junior Players 2018 Prep Clinics at Hobbit’s Glen

Designed for the junior golfer who wants to play competitively. Registration is open to all incoming high school freshmen-seniors who are trying out for the school golf team.

Registration fee (April-August): $160 for CA members and $180 for non-members, plus the junior member rate for 9 holes of $13 to be paid each week, depending on availability*. Registration fee includes clinic and a small bucket of balls.


Tuesday, April 10-end of the school year:

3:30-4:30pm Arrive, warm-up and clinic
4:30pm Tee times begin. 9-Hole Stableford play used for high school golf matches

Mid-June to Mid-August (high school tryouts)

1:30-2:30pm Arrive, warm-up and clinic
2:30pm Tee times begin. 9-Hole Stableford play.

PGA Junior League at Hobbit’s Glen

The PGA Junior League Golf Team is for boys and girls ages 9-13. You’ll meet friends and compete in this fun and engaging team format! Participants receive coaching from a PGA Professional.

Format: Two week preseason with weekly practice and scrimmage, followed by weekly practice and matches against other local clubs. Also included is a range card, jersey, hat and bag tag.

Practices are held Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Match schedule and start is TBD and will be posted on this web page soon.

The Hobbit’s Glen Junior League Team proudly finished 3rd in Fall 2017 in the MAPGA Junior League Championship!

New! PGA Junior Developmental League at Hobbit’s Glen

New for 2018! The PGA Junior Developmental League will prepare young and inexperienced players (boys and girls ages 8-11) for the PGA Junior League Team. Following a similar format to the PGA Junior League, players will gain experience on the course with weekly scrimmages, along with weekly practices.
