This part-time position will be responsible for developing dynamic, engaging, interactive learning and practice experiences that enhance retention and professional knowledge. Working either independently or in a team environment, the Instructional Designer will use proven instructional design methodologies to create and maintain course content, activities, leader’s guides, and assessments for a broad range of educational programs and delivery mechanisms including ILT, VILT and e-Learning.
The primary responsibilities include:
Support the design and development of a blended learning program including storyboarding, writing and editing content and creation of assessments; Apply adult learning methods and instructional design principles to create engaging course content and support materials; Ability to synthesize and write content based on input from subject matter experts, written materials, online resources and informal interviews; Manage multiple development activities simultaneously and meet stated deadlines; Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision; Provide thorough and detailed quality assurance of all course materials; Maintain an accurate archive of course development files and project documentation.
Training design and delivery experience in a corporate, adult/higher education, or other training setting preferred.
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or other instructional design software required.
Minimum of three years of experience in designing and developing adult learning required
Minimum of two years of teaching or training experience preferred
High school diploma. College work or work experience related to the above a plus
