We are seeking a customer service-oriented, highly motivated leader to join our world class team as General Manager of Columbia SportsPark and SkatePark. Operating year-around with seasonal schedules and opportunities, the SportsPark offers Columbia Association members, guests and residents fun, recreational activities such as mini-golf, batting cages, arcade games, a snack bar, and a skate park.

The General Manager, reporting to the Assistant Director of Sport and Fitness, is an integral part of the leadership team, ensuring a successful, safe, clean, functional and customer service-focused environment for our members, guests and associates. They inspire members, guests and team members through movement, community and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives.

The General Manager is responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the overall operation, organization, maintenance, marketing and planning of Columbia SportsPark and SkatePark. The General Manager will be responsible for the management of a staff of up to 30 team members, achieving sales goals, revenue goals, overall customer experience and satisfaction standards by maximizing the member and guest experience and facility revenues. The General Manager will lead the team to provide excellent customer service per CA’s service excellence principles and to deliver on CA’s Mission, Vision and Values.

The General Manager must have the ability to establish and maintain positive, team-oriented, cooperative working relationships with team members in all of CA’s departments, and with members, guests and the community at large. The General Manager must also be organized and good with logistics.

This is a challenging position, involving considerable responsibility, complexity and variety.

Requirements include:
• A bachelor’s degree is required. A bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or sports management is highly preferred.
• Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in facility management; recreational facility management preferred.
• Strong budgeting/finance and management experience a must.
