This part-time position will be responsible for developing dynamic, engaging, interactive learning and practice experiences that enhance retention and professional knowledge. Working either independently or in a team environment, the Instructional Designer will use proven instructional design methodologies to create and maintain course content, activities, leader’s guides, and assessments for a broad range of educational programs and delivery mechanisms, including ILT, VILT and e-Learning.

The primary responsibilities include:
– Support the design and development of a blended learning program, including storyboarding, writing and editing content, and creation of assessments
– Apply adult learning methods and instructional design principles to create engaging course content and support materials
– Synthesize and write content based on input from subject matter experts, written materials, online resources and informal interviews
– Manage multiple development activities simultaneously and meet stated deadlines
– Work collaboratively within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
– Provide thorough and detailed quality assurance of all course materials
– Maintain accurate archive of course development files and project documentation

Requirements:
– Training design and delivery experience in a corporate, adult/higher education, or other training setting preferred.
– Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or other instructional design software required.
– Minimum of three years of experience in designing and developing adult learning required
– Minimum of two years of teaching or training experience preferred

Education:
High school diploma. College work or work experience related to the above a plus
