We are seeking a customer service-oriented, highly-motivated leader to join our world class team as League Program Coordinator to promote the sport of tennis, grow the game and ensure the satisfaction of our members and guests at our five prestigious clubs, encompassing 37 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts located in Columbia, Maryland.
Under the direct supervision of the Tennis General Manager, and as an integral part of the team, the League Program Coordinator will strive to fulfill the Brand Promise, Mission, Vision and Values of Columbia Association. The League Program Coordinator is a courteous professional interested in promoting the game of tennis, growing the game and ensuring the satisfaction of our members and guests. They will positively impact the organization and lives of our members and guests. They ensure a successful, safe, clean, functional and customer service-focused environment for our members, guests and associates. They inspire members, guests and team members through movement, community and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives.
The League Program Coordinator will be accountable for the growth and financial performance of all USTA and in-house league programming. The League Program Coordinator will also increase member and non-member participation by actively promoting lessons, programs and leagues, and teams, and will work closely with the tennis division leaders.
The League Program Coordinator must have the ability to establish and maintain positive, team-oriented, cooperative working relationships with team members in all of CA’s departments, and with members, guests and the community at large. Individual must also be organized and good with logistics.
This is a challenging position, involving considerable responsibility, complexity, and variety.
• Working knowledge of USTA League Tennis
• Thorough understanding of USTA League Rules, Procedures and a sound understanding of Section, District and Local League Rules.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with members and guests.
