Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, Pool Supervisors, and Cluster Leader, this position is responsible for preseason setup of facilities, day-to-day operations and staffing of the pool(s). Interaction with others includes East/West Operations Managers, Lifeguards, and office personnel.

A Manager on Duty candidate must be sound in judgment, friendly, and able to pass a water screening that tests swimming ability. You should also know that Columbia Association will arrange for your lifeguard, CPR and First Aid training if you are hired.

The Manager on Duty has a legal duty to protect the safety of people in an assigned area, and a professional obligation to prevent potential accidents by enforcing the rules and regulations of an aquatic setting and to react to any emergencies that occur. The Manager on Duty is also responsible for assisting in the running of in-service training, and acting as the manager while the Cluster Leader and Site Manager are away.
