It’s not too early to think about summer camps for your kids. In fact, it’s the perfect time — because if you reserve your camper’s spot by February 28, you’ll get 10% off the price of the camp.

It’s easy. All you have to do is pay the $50 nonrefundable registration fee per camper and leave a credit card on file with Columbia Association’s Camps office.

This summer, CA has 17 summer camp options available for youth from pre-K through 10th grade. These camps range from recreational to educational, and from artistic to athletic.

My First Camp

Ideal for the first-time camper! This camp offers swim lessons and recreational swimming, plus playtime, arts and crafts, story time, nature walks, games, and in-house field trips such as theater, karate and more. My First Camp also offers a cooldown period inside each day, as well as snack times.

For ages 3½-5. Offered as two-week sessions: June 24-July 5 (no camp July 4), July 8-19, July 22-August 2 and August 5-16.

S.T.E.A.M. Innovators 

This fun-filled, engaging program introduces students to the applied aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts and math — while also providing a variety of recreational and leisure activities

Highlights include cool projects, including working with robotics cubelets. There are also swimming lessons, recreational swimming, off-site field trips, and a parent showcase at the end of each session.

For grades 3-5. Offered as two-week sessions: June 24-July 5 (no camp July 4), July 8-19, July 22-August 2 and August 5-16.

Back to Basics Lacrosse Camp

Led by Skip Darden, a four-time DIII national champion player and high school coach, with a staff of Division I players and world team lacrosse players. Campers receive instruction in basic offensive and defensive techniques to improve their skills and lacrosse IQ. There’s also position-specific game situational play, speed and agility sessions, plus pool time one day a week.

For grades 2-9. Offered as one-week sessions: July 8-12 and July 15-19. 

Nature Camp

Campers swim, paddle canoes, play sports, and learn the finer points of archery, all in just two weeks. Plus they’ll sing songs, sleep under the stars, devour snow cones, create nature crafts, fish, and participate in instructional and recreational swimming. An overnight with games, skits, marshmallows and more is scheduled for the first Thursday of each session, and a special activity takes place on the last Friday of each session. Separate camps are hosted at Lake Elkhorn Park and Wilde Lake Park.

For grades K-5. Offered as two-week sessions: June 24-July 5 (no camp July 4), July 8-19, July 22-August 2 and August 5-16. 

Sports Camp

Enjoy a variety of sports and games, including foxtail, kickball, star wars, run down, capture the flag, flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey and baseball. Campers also will take a few field trips throughout the week that may include Adventure Park in New Market, a professional sports stadium tour, trekking at local parks, or cosmic bowling. Recreational swimming is offered at least three times a week.

For grade 1-6. Offered as one-week sessions: June 24-28, July 1-5 (no camp July 4), July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-August 2, August 5-9 and August 12-16.
