What is Walk MD Day?
Walk MD Day is a statewide initiative that encourages everyone to get out and walk on October 7, 2020. Most years, we are able to organize group events, but you can still celebrate with your family or socially distanced with friends. Plus, MDOT has officially dubbed this entire month Walktober, so you’re encouraged to get those steps in through Halloween. That means it’s time to mask up and get out for Walk MD Day in Columbia!
In honor of Walk MD Day, Columbia Association’s Open Space team wanted to share some of their favorite Pathway routes.

Speaking of walking, Howard County’s Office of Transportation is looking at improving walkability (and biking), particularly along Robert Fulton Drive.
