Columbia Association Accessibility Statement

Columbia Association (CA) acknowledges its responsibility to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and is committed to providing reasonable modifications for individuals living with a disability. CA will continue the evaluation of its facilities, programs and services to remove existing barriers whenever readily achievable and to ensure accessibility in new and modified facilities.

In general, requests for modifications under the Americans with Disabilities Act will be handled according to the procedures set forth below. If you need assistance while visiting any of our facilities, we ask that requests be made at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible, so as to allow CA to better accommodate the request.

For more information about ADA compliance at a specific facility, program or amenity, please contact the facility manager, program director or open space management office as appropriate.

Accessibility Statement for the Columbia Association Website

We want everyone who visits Columbia Association’s website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make Columbia Association’s website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for Columbia Association’s website.

How are we doing?

We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improving. Currently our web designers are working hard to ensure that all our pages meet Level AA accessibility. Until we achieve that goal, please bear with us. And if you have any problems with the site, please feel free to contact us using one of the methods below.
