Capital projects are the first prong of CA’s two-prong approach to managing and restoring Columbia’s watershed.  The Columbia Watershed Management Plan evaluated a large number of potential projects and developed an initial group of 18 projects that were developed into concept plans and budgeted over the course of several years to design and build.  Most of these projects were built.  Three proved to be unfeasible and were cancelled and one is still in the permitting process.

New projects are selected from projects listed in the Columbia Watershed Management Plan or are added as Villages request them.  Final budget decisions are made by CA’s Board of Directors.
